Cuir de Russie is a classic perfume that draws inspiration from 19th-century formulations, designed to authentically recreate the essence of this historical fragrance. The perfume opens with a vibrant and zesty blend of bergamot, lemon, and mandarin, creating an inviting citrus accord. At its heart, the rich floral notes of rose and jasmine are harmoniously intertwined with the spicy warmth of clove and the earthy depth of iris root, adding complexity and sophistication to the composition.
The base of Cuir de Russie is where its leathery character truly shines, with the smoky and resinous notes of styrax, castoreum, and birch tar forming the foundation.
